OrthoAir: Adjustable Support Designed to Ease the Everyday Strain
You might be sitting in a chair that leaves your back tight and your posture collapsing long before the day ends. You shift, lean or stack cushions to stay comfortable, but nothing lasts. The pressure builds, your focus slips and working starts to feel like a physical effort rather than a mental one.
Imagine Sitting Without the Struggle
Now picture a chair that keeps your back relaxed, your posture balanced and your body supported through every task. A chair that moves with you, adapts to your spine and helps you work without the constant fight for comfort.
The OrthoAir closes the gap between the discomfort you feel now and the relief you’ve been looking for. This modern mesh-back orthopedic chair gives you the adjustability you need to move from daily discomfort to effortless support.
The OrthoAir helps you break the cycle of tension and constant adjusting. It's a chair that supports your posture by providing advanced back support tailored to your body.
Why the OrthoAir Stands Apart
This chair is designed for people who work standard hours and need more than a typical ergonomic office chair. Its advanced adjustments and breathable mesh backrest let you shape the support your body has been missing, easing pressure on your spine and helping you sit comfortably for longer. What is an orthopedic office chair?
With a 120kg weight rating and a 5-year warranty, the OrthoAir delivers dependable orthopedic support without breaking your budget.
Key Benefits of the OrthoAir Orthopedic Chair:
- Superior back support. The height adjustable backrest and adjustable lumbar support allow you to position the backrest to support your spine and reduce back pain and discomfort while you sit.
- Breathable Mesh backrest. The breathable mesh back keeps you cool, while the shaped lumbar support helps maintain your spine's natural elongated 'S' shape.
- Independent mechanism. The independent mechanism enables you to adjust both the seat and backrest angles to relieve pressure in your back and match your ideal sitting posture.
The OrthoAir is suitable for:
- Executive and General Offices
- Home Offices
- Meeting and Boardrooms
- Professional and home office users who work up to 8 hours per day and experience chronic back pain when they sit.
- People who don't require a chair with seat depth adjustment, but still need some of the advanced features only found in orthopedic office chairs.

OrthoAir Orthopedic Chair: Adjustment Features
- Backrest Height Adjustment – Position the support precisely where you need it.
- Mesh Backrest – Cools your back and improves comfort in hot climates.
- Backrest Angle Adjustment – Adjust the angle and lock it in any position.
- Seat Angle Adjustment (Forward Tilt) – Opens the pelvis, encouraging a natural spinal curve and reducing lumbar pressure.
- Seat Height Adjustment – Set your seat at the correct height for posture and comfort.
- Armrest Height, Width & Pivot Adjustments – Keeps arms and shoulders relaxed, preventing tension in the shoulders and upper back.
- Headrest Height & Angle Adjustment – Supports neck and upper spine, reducing fatigue over long periods.
How the OrthoAir adjustment features provide comfort and back pain relief.
1. Backrest adjustment
We work in different positions, and we all have a preferred seated posture.
The backrest on the OrthoAir can be adjusted in three distinctive ways to specifically suit your spine and prevent or reduce lower and upper back pain.
The independent mechanism enables you to adjust the backrest angle to match your preferred working posture, and then securely locked in that position. The backrest and lumbar support are both height adjustable, allowing you to position the lumbar support precisely where you need it.
2. Seat Angle Adjustment
The OrthoAir is designed with an adjustable seat angle, permitting a forward slope of up to 5 degrees. This adjustment lowers the knees in relation to the hips, thereby “opening” the pelvis.
Sitting with an open pelvis facilitates a more natural curvature of the spine and reduces the pressure on the lumbar discs. Consequently, this reduces the probability of experiencing lower back pain during prolonged periods of sitting.
Important:
The OrthoAir does not have a seat slider for adjusting the depth of the seat. If you are above average height with long legs or have a coccyx-related problem, the absence of a seat slider may render this chair unsuitable for you. In such instances, we suggest opting for one of these chairs that is equipped with a seat slider.
3. Armrest adjustment
The armrests on the OrthoAir are multi-adjustable, allowing you to position the supporting pads for optimum comfort.
In addition to vertical height adjustment, the arm pads can be adjusted horizontally (depth), and also pivoted inwards or outwards.
NO ASSEMBLY required.

The OrthoAir has a Free-Float mechanism that promotes Dynamic Sitting.
Dynamic sitting occurs in an office chair that is fitted with a mechanism that allows the angle between the backrest and seat to change. By continuously changing this angle, you automatically stimulate, or activate various muscles in your lower back, core and legs. As a result, the blood flow through these muscles increases, bringing oxygen and other nutrients to the muscles and carrying away the waste products of muscle metabolism. By doing so, muscle fatigue and it’s associated pain is reduced, particularly in the lower back, core and legs.
An Orthopedic Chair is recommended for anyone who has chronic lower back pain. An orthopedic chair must have a forward-tilting seat function that reduces the rotation of the pelvis when sitting down. This decreases the disc pressure in the lumbar region of the back while you are seated. Compared to an ergonomic chair, an orthopedic chair has additional features to ensure the chair can be adjusted to specifically address chronic lower back pain. What is an orthopedic chair?

Katlego –
hurts my back. not very comfortable
Achim Roetger –
Hi Katlego,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the OrthoAir chair was not comfortable for you. Ergonomics can be very personal, and not every chair is the right fit for every individual.
We’re glad George was able to visit you, assess the situation, and help find a better solution. We’re pleased to hear that the Leila chair is working well for you and that you’re now satisfied.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to resolve the matter — we appreciate your support and wish you many comfortable hours ahead.
Angelique Swarts –
Very comfortable office chair, made with quality materials. Can definitely recommend.
Peter –
Very comfortable chair, high quality construction. The first one delivered was not high enough for me, so Karo sent out a technician to replace the gaslift with a longer version – now it’s perfect. Highly recommended.
Liira –
I have an extremely bad back, and after trying several chairs(which all had mechanical failures) i decided to bite the bullet and opt for a more expensive chair from a more reputable supplier.
Found Karo and THIS chair.
Its very sturdy, and very supportive. The mesh is nice and cool. Although the headrest feels a bit out of place. I am tall and this chair is wonderfully comfy.
Only complaint is uncertainty with delivery date, but Karo’s courier partner tracks the product quite accurately. Took approx 3 days to deliver to CT from JHB.
Very happy with the product.
TLDR: Sturdy, Quality, Comfy, Worth it.
Matt Strybis –

Tersia Brynard –

Letishia Muller –
Great service, and such a comfortable chair!! It was delivered within a day which was so impressive, the delivery guy explained all the functions in detail and was so helpful and friendly – I will most definitely order again!
Sarel Vorster –
The delivery was fast, and the chair came completely assembled – a bonus!
Initial indications are that the chair is made with good quality materials.
The only hassle is that I am unable to get the free floating tilt mechanism to work – to tilt the seat one needs to pull the lever!
Perhaps you could explain to me how the mechanism works – the online articles were not very clear.
Many thanks.
Sarel Vorster.
Marcel Bommeli –
Hi Sarel,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that the delivery was fast, the chair arrived fully assembled, and that your initial impression of the quality is positive.
We are sorry that the free-floating tilt mechanism was not immediately clear. Some chair mechanisms can take a little explanation, especially when the online information does not give enough practical detail.
We are glad George was able to make contact with you, explain how the mechanism works, and resolve your question.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist. We appreciate your support and wish you many comfortable hours in your new chair.
