The type of seat foam used in office chairs has an impact on their price and comfort. There are two basic types of flexible seat foam, namely polyurethane injection Moulded Foam and Block-Cut Foam, but which is the best for an office chair?
At Karo, it is our mission to improve the comfort of our chairs by including injection molded polyurethane foam in the design of all our seats. Widely used within the automotive industry, this type of foam has long been recognised by ergonomic experts as being able to deliver the best support and cushioning for any person that sits on an office chair for an extended period of time. If you are looking for a quality office chair, then moulded seat foam is a definite “must-have” feature.
Moulded seat foam improves the comfort of any office chair and provides the best support.
Comparison of foam types – which is the best for an office chair?
At Karo we manufacture all our polyurethane injection molded seat foam in-house using state-of-the-art foam plant technology. This highly controlled process allows us to monitor the characteristics of every seat to ensure the best quality and comfort for your office chair. To further improve the overall comfort of our chairs, we have developed our own dual-density foam that we use for specific ranges and all our orthopaedic chairs.
For our casino seating, durability is critical as these chairs are typically used 24/7. For this reason, some of our high-end chair ranges include injection molded foam for both the seat and backrest.
